Of Random Things

Was looking through my FB pages and came across a note that I wrote some time last year. This was rather popular at that point in time due to the tagging of people and it sort of became a chain activity... Here goes the FB note:

"Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because....

.... I want to know more about you!

Peeps this is good for those of you who’re fried by assignments right now to take a break. It’s also good for those of you who’re bored and taking a break right now. Have fun! ;P

About me:

1) I have been a vegetarian since 13. Some people ask me if I miss or crave eating meat, the answer is NO; I’m quite happy with my diet so far.

2) I enjoy board games because I prefer real rather than virtual human interaction in online games.

3) Being a board games fan, I’ve my own mini collection of games & I’ve membership at the Settlers Café (gaming session soon after all the work done anyone??)

4) I have a habit of looking at the sky - the clouds in the day, the moon & stars at night. Though I like star-gazing, I’m still not an expert at reading star signs yet.

5) A favorite spot for doing work – Lee Kong Chian Reference library & I’ll always sit at a table where I get a good view of the Flyer & esplanade (adds visual pleasure to my work surroundings)

6) A jacket/shawl is a necessity in my handbag because I'm afraid of the cold and because of this I usually don’t carry small handbags.

7) The irony: although I’m afraid of cold, I actually love winter because I think winter clothes look nice than clothes of any other seasons (it’s literally “dressing up”).

8) I wish to own a good SLR someday & travel to exotic places to capture the beauty of wildlife/nature in print. (African savannah’s one place in mind).

9) Programs like photoshop and flash are things that I really need to pick up sometime when I’m free; some of my ideas for creating lesson activities/ simulations are pretty much crippled by my lack of IT skills =(

10) When I have enough GUTS, MONEY & TIME, I'd love to go on a backpack trip faraway alone. (or at most 1 other travel mate)

11) I wish to have the experience of teaching in overseas secondary/middle schools in different countries.

12) I wished I did undergraduate studies overseas instead of Singapore. My life might have been much more interesting & rewarding………….

13) My wardrobe used to only contain t-shirts & Bermudas. Now it has expanded to: dresses, tubes, skirts & the list goes on………….

14) I love cakes, chocolates & ice-cream because I have a sweet tooth; hence dessert is always my favorite course in a meal.

15) At the dinner table at home, I eat in the traditional Chinese manner – chopsticks spoon & bowl; the rest of my family use plates, fork & spoon.

16) I often don't know what to do with my hair when it's too long. Hence I always end up trimming to shoulder-length & rebonding it. (boooooooring..............).

17) I think traditional costumes like the kebaya, kimono etc are nice on girls and I wanna wear a cheongsam for my next CNY.

18) I wish I was more musically inclined & that I know how to play the piano or the violin.

19) I enjoy hearing someone play the piano for me, though I haven't had that for a super long time.

20) Considering #18, I might make my kids learn piano so I can have someone play for me in future on a regular basis.

21) Cosmetics for me: I don’t really bother with make-up as it’s a hassle, but I invest in perfumes & body lotions.

22) 1 of my 2009 resolutions: Keep to the regimen of training at Amore at least 3x a week. (which I’ve missed for the past 2 weeks due to MC & an avalanche of work.)

23) I’m quite a klutz at sports & usually have to retake my fitness tests when I was in school. A lot of people don’t believe it as they are deceived by my physique.

24) My ambition was to be a nurse, but I ended up being a teacher instead because teaching is still under public service.

25) If given a chance to start university all over I’d probably major Biology or Chinese Studies & work hard to earn qualifications way higher than a Bachelors.

Done! It's your turn now people! Have fun =P"

Out of the things I've set, how little I have achieved...Hmmph....
